"I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer." - Psalm 120:1

This verse has been rubbing in my mind for awhile now, and so I just thought everyone else might like to be reminded from His Word, that He hears us and answers our prayers...

Cry out to Him!!

and he who abides in love,
abides in God."

That's my happy thought verse for today...
so have a happy day...

Psalm 19
"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb." - Psalm 19:7-10

I keep getting reminded, that truly His Word should be in my heart and not just on my dresser or my desk or my bed... so, I've decided- to try and start memorizing one verse a week, and of course if anyone else feels like they want to join me- please do! I have one that I've heard quite a few times before, but that I just didn't know where it was found... so I'm going to try starting out with a little bit of an easier one for this first week:

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." - Psalm 19:14

Isn't that a lovely prayer though? (Yeah I know it's a Psalm, but I think David prob'ly wrote it as a prayer when he wrote it) This verse is definently a lot easier to say then to do... controlling my thoughts and tongue so that all that comes out of them is pleasing to the Lord- that is not an easy task!! But through His strength, and through making an effort to surround myself with things that bring Him glory and praise- I don't think it's entirely impossible to please Him with our thoughts and words...
oi! I better go... (I have a ton of laundry to fold- ;p, funstuff!!) -but I hope that we can all strive together to make Him our focus and to keep Him in our thoughts, and from there bring a flow of loving godly speech- ;p
thanks all

Changing the Screen- ;D...
I know I have a lot of silly entries on this website, but I think I want to change that a little bit from hear on out... silly is always fun of course, but I'm sure I could put this site to better use of the knowledge of my Lord...
First off- I want people to know (if they don't already) that I really have a soft spot for Jesus- ;p... I haven't been real clear on that until now, because I haven't really taken this site too seriously- but if I can use this site to be an encouragement to other Christians or even a way for people to get to know more about my Savior- that would really make this a site worth having!!
So, not that anyone I don't know is going to read this- but if you do and you want to chat or something please contact me!! (my SN is: itsmebekkie)
Now to those of you who are curious about what inspired all this talk- (obviously its Jesus- ;p) but He inspired me- or more like jolted me into the remembrance that there are soo many that don't know Him and are on their way into eternal seperation from Him... my best friends uncle died just this week- and he wasn't saved- he grew up and lived a life apart from Jesus and his choice to do that is now being carried out into his death... I feel quite horrible knowing this- and realizing that now- it's too late... not just for him- but for me too, because now it's too late to even tell him about Jesus!
Christians!! I know this may not seem personnal to you- but this is the task we have at hand! We need to stop putting it off and start asking people about what they believe- and most importantly letting them know what we believe and know to be true, that Jesus is the one true Savior of the world! -I know God is in control! He gave us a freewill- and we as Christians need to continualy freely choose- each and every day- His will and His ways for our life!
- ;p, Prob'ly everyone who's reading this knows all this already- but... even if you do- you have to admit that this is a good reminder to everyone- every Christian of every age...
Thanks for reading though-
I pray that His joy will be yours...

"This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts; and He knows everything." - 1 John 3:19-20

Calliope, Muse of epic poetry
You are 'Latin'. Even among obsolete skills, the
tongue of the ancient Romans is a real
anachronism. With its profusion of different
cases and conjugations, Latin is more than a
language; it is a whole different way of
thinking about things.

You are very classy, meaning that you value the
classics. You value old things, good things
which have stood the test of time. You value
things which have been proven worthy and
valuable, even if no one else these days sees
them that way. Your life is touched by a
certain 'pietas', or piety; perhaps you are
even a Stoic. Nonetheless, you have a certain
fascination with the grotesque and the profane.
Also, the modern world rejects you like a bad
transplant. Your problem is that Latin has
been obsolete for a long time.

What obsolete skill are you?

Your Seduction Style: The Natural

You don't really try to seduce people... it just seems to happen.
Fun loving and free spirited, you bring out the inner child in people.
You are spontaneous, sincere, and unpretentious - a hard combo to find!
People drop their guard around you, and find themselves falling fast.

You'd feel
really nervous every time your lad went out on
his own because you'd be worried a pretty girl
might chat him up. There's no point dating
someone you can't trust, so date a guy you're
friends with first.

What Your Dreams Mean...

Your dreams seem to show that you're a bit disturbed... but nothing serious.

You may have a problem you're trying to work out in your sleep.

You have a very vivid imagination and a rich creative mind.

R is for Radiant
E is for Enjoyable
B is for Brainy

Another ridiculous quiz...

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

lol- this one really is funny though, when you take it they keep asking you about animals- lol... and then that's how they get their answers of what the keys to your heart supposedly are- hehe...

Heylo there- here are some little happy thoughts:

"Light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Rejoice in the LORD, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name." - Ps 97:11-12

"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy" - 1 Pet 1:8

"Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD. They rejoice in your name all day long; they exult in your righteousness." - Ps 89:15-16

"My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever." - Psalm 73:26

These verses inspired and encouraged me today, so I hope these verses can be inspiring happy thoughts to lead you on through the day too- ;p... May you strive always for the glory of the Lord!

Odd Questions & Odd Facts
When and where did the slang term "peeps" come from?
"Peeps" as slang (not to be confused with the marshmallow confection) dates back to at least the early 1990s. Some suggest it was used a decade earlier, referring to parents. But it's not clear how common that usage was.

Why do we "say cheese" when taking photographs?
We suspect that it has something to do with the way your mouth looks when you say "cheese." It looks like you're smiling. We did learn that "cheesing" is a slang term for smiling. We also found out that the Persian word "chiz" means "thing," hence the expression, "This is the real chiz (cheese)."

Does chocolate actually cause acne?
The truth is, there is no evidence of any chocolate-in, pimples-out reaction. In fact, two separate studies have purportedly disproved the link.
But wait chocolate lovers, there's more good news. Dark chocolate contains flavenoids, an antioxidant known to lower cholesterol. So it's possible eating a certain amount will reduce your risk for heart disease.

Isn't that awesome? So eat away all my chocolate lover friends! ;p

A trip coming to close to it's end...
I'm still in Florida and it's been a beautiful day! I went to church with my sister, sarah- and her family... it was a really good service about witnessing- and just a good reminder not to be afraid to witness or to make excuses- but to just use the opportunites God gives you to witness- and to witness about what God has done in your life... It was a good reminder that it isn't what 'you' do or say that saves a person- but that its the Lord who saves!
Anyways after church- I went out to Pizza with Sarah's parents and it was AWESOME-O!! -lol... but it would've been better if Sarah had been there- sadly though, she had to stay a little while after church for a meeting... ;p- we survived somehow though- hehe...
well- it's off to wal-mart for milk...
ttyl all my friends...
